This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Valora, operated by Valora Digital LLC, collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
We collect account data (name, email, profile photo), Creators' identity verification data, purchase data (product, amount, buyer email) and technical usage data (IP address, device type, pages visited). Card payment data is collected and processed directly by Stripe: Valora does not store card numbers.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to operate the service (process sales, calculate balances, process withdrawals), verify your identity as required for payment services, communicate with you about your account, prevent fraud, and comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. Sharing with third parties
We share data with service providers essential to running Valora: Stripe (payment processing), Didit (Creators' identity verification), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional emails) and Vercel (application hosting). Data may be processed outside Mozambique, including in the United States, where Valora is based. We may also share data when required by law or to protect our legal rights. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal data at any time in your account Settings, or by contacting us directly. Account deletion is subject to settlement of any pending tax or financial obligations.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for an additional period required to meet legal, tax and fraud-prevention obligations after account closure.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep your session authenticated and to remember preferences like language and theme. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
